Jointed Toy Penguin Pattern – Traditional – Emilio 21cm

With this traditional, jointed toy penguin pattern you can make Emilio the penguin who happily stands 21m tall.  Emilio is jointed at the head and both wings. Along with the pattern, you will also receive full instructions.

In addition to the pattern and instructions, you will also need the following (all of which can be bought from Amazing Craft):

• 25cm x 45cm Grey fabric
• 20cm x 15 cm White fabric
• 20cm x 15 cm Black fabric
• 15cm x 10 cm White inner wing fabric
• 15cm x 10 cm Grey beak and feet fabric
• 2 x 25mm sets of cotter pin joints for the wing joints
• 1 x 21mm sets of cotter pin joints for the head joint
• 10mm Light Blue Glass Eyes
• Sewing thread to match your fabrics: Black, White & Grey
• Extra strong thread
• Polyfibre stuffing
• 2cm x 18 cm Wire (so that your penguin can stand well!)
• If you want to add a little weight to your penguin, our Steel Weighting works well.
• Scissors for cutting out the pattern
• Fabric scissors
• Sewing needle
• Doll needle
• Card and glue to apply the cut pattern pieces onto

Emilio can be sewn completely by hand (back stitch is the main stitch used and there is also ladder stitch involved) or on a sewing machine if preferred (there will be a little hand sewing needed).
