Wood Wool Excelsior Teddy Bear Stuffing – Grade 4

Traditional Wood Wool Excelsior Teddy Bear Stuffing has been used since teddy bears were introduced into the world over 100 years ago!  Grade 4 is the finest grade of wood wool available which makes the stuffing easier to pack tightly into paws and limbs and stops it from feeling too spiky too.

This traditional material has been kiln dried is ideal for vintage bear repairs and modern artist bears too.  This superfine woodwool, the softest grade of woodwool, is only 0.05mm thick and cut into 1.7mm wide strands.​​​​​​​  It is often referred to as straw teddy bear filling but it is actually wood!

This 100% natural wood wool is a sandy beige in colour and is made from British Spruce timber from sustainable British woodlands and, of course, biodegradable.
