Rudy & Rusty Reindeer Sewing Pattern by Brenda Walker

The Rudy & Rusty toy reindeer sewing pattern from the Country Folk range, makes two adorable little reindeer with the cutest red noses! This product comes with the patterns and instructions to make 2 different reindeer- one who sits and one who stands! Created by the talented Brenda Walker, the reindeer stand approximately 20.5cm (8″) tall.  Brenda also completes her patterns with easy to follow instructions and says “I design and create decorations for the home inspired by the Northamptonshire countryside!”

Rudy & Rusty can be sewn by hand or by machine (but probably easier by machine!).

Materials you will need:

.   Long Quarter Tan Fabric – Reindeer Bodies

.   Fat Eighth Black Fabric – Hooves

.   15.5cm x 10cm  (6″ x 4″) Beige Fabric – Antlers

.   15.5cm x 10cm  (6″ x 4″) Felt – Antlers

.   15.5cm x 10cm  (6″ x 4″) Heat n Bond Ultrahold – Antlers

.   1 Metre Red Ribbon

.   6 12mm Tan Buttons – To attach the legs

.   2 8mm Red Buttons – Noses

.   2 12mm Bells

.   ½ Metre Brown Wool – Fringe

.   4 5mm Black Beads

.    Polyfibre Stuffing

.   Powder Blusher (optional)

.    PVA glue

.     Extra Strong Thread

 

Equipment you will need:

.     A sewing needle

.     Fabric scissors

.     Paper scissors

.     Tailor’s chalk, fabric pen or a pencil
