Steiff Mohair Teddy Fabric – 23mm medium dense – Scruffy Black

Scruffy Black mohair fabric has a 23mm black pile from Steiff Schulte which is wonderful for making medium to large teddy bears.

The backing is a very dark grey and has a midnight black, 23mm medium dense pile with a lovely ‘scruffy’, shaggy look to it.

This top quality German mohair fabric is particularly good for making medium to large bears as it has a medium dense, 23mm pile.

A good cotton sewing thread to match this mohair is Gutermann 5201 and a good extra strong thread is Gutermann Top Stitch 000.

The width of the roll is approximately 140cm (including the selvedges) and this mohair is available in the following sizes:-

• 1/16m – approx 25cm deep x 35cm wide
• 1/8m – approx 50cm deep x 35cm wide
• 1/4m – approx 50cm deep x 70cm wide
• 1/2m – approx 100cm deep and 70cm wide
