The Little Miss Figgy Pudding Doll pattern from the Country Folk range makes an extremely sweet Christmas rag doll and outfit.  Created by the talented Brenda Walker, Little Miss Figgy Pudding stands 38cm (15″) tall.  The full size pattern to make this adorable rag doll also comes complete with patterns to make a dress, a pair of bloomers, an apron, a hat and a bag.  Brenda completes her patterns with easy to follow instructions and we think she may have a soft spot for Christmas!!

Little Miss Figgy Pudding can be sewn by hand or by machine (but probably easier by machine!).

Materials you will need:

.    Fat Quarter of tea dyed calico (or Tilda/Moda skin coloured fabric)

.    Fat Quarter of fabric for the dress

.    Fat Eighth of fabric for the apron

.    35cm (14″) x 18cm (7″) fabric the bloomers

.    25cm (10″) x 10cm (4″) white cotton batting or felt (hat and bag trim)

.    46cm (18″) x 20cm (8″) Brown Wool Felt (hat and shoes)

.    10cm (4″) x 8cm (3″) Holly Green Felt

.    15cm (6″) x 20cm (8″) Lightweight Fusible Vilene

.    10cm (4″) square Fusible webbig (Heat’n’ bond lite or similar)

.    Textured wool (hair)

.    1/2m Lace trim (bloomers)

.    7 x 6mm (1/4″) red buttons

.    3 x 5mm red wooden bead halves (holly berries on the hat )

.    1 x snap fastener for apron (optional)

.    1 & 1/2m metres 15mm white ric-rac

.    polyfibre stuffing (250g will be plenty)

.    Fine (01) black and red permanent fabric pens (for eyes and mouth)

.    Powder blush and white acrylic paint for face (optional)

.    PVA glue

Equipment you will need:

.     A sewing needle

.     Fabric scissors

.     Paper scissors

.     Tailor’s chalk, fabric pen or a pencil

.     An iron (for the fusible webbing)

Stitches used:

.     Back stitch

.     Ladder stitch
