Hemostats – Fabric Turning Tool – 5.5″ / 14cm

Hemostats (also known as forceps) are a perfect addition to any sewing basket but, in particular, the toy makers basket!  When making little toys, they make turning fabric the right side out so much easier (eg small tubes of fabric – teddy bears’ arms, legs etc).

The slightly ridged clamps on the pincer end of the hemostats gently hold the fabric without piercing it and, the locking clamp at the handle end allows the fabric to remain clamped while you gently pull it the right way out.  These hemostats measure 14cm (5.5″)  and are a must have for toy makers!

To use the forceps, you insert them into your toy’s body and grasp the farthest extremity. The forceps can clamp closed so you get a good hold. Then gently pull the fabric right side out.   They also help hugely to get stuffing into hard to reach places, eg, long arms, legs, noses etc!  You will probably find your hemostats useful for many other aspects of life too!

Made from stainless steel, the hemostats measure approximately 14cm (5.5″) long.
