Hemline Dressmaking Shears Scissors – left hand

Hemline’s high quality Dressmaking Shears from the Klasse range are a fabulous addition to any work basket and are great for cutting many fabrics.  They measure 210mm (8.25″) and are made from drop forged steel with red handles.  They are double plated with a nickel and chrome finish for life long protection.  The larger grip handle has been made to comfortably fit three adult sized fingers.  These scissors have been made in Italy and created for left handed use (we also stock the exact same scissors that have been created for right hand use too).

The shears boast double locking adjustment that means the blades and tension can be easily adjusted using the screw and locking nut.  The serrated lower blade holds the fabric  to prevent it from being squeezed out of the blades during the cutting process and the knife edge precision sharpening on the blade allows smooth cutting on the top side of the fabric.

Hemline advise that you regularly clean the scissors and ensure that the blades are free from any glue or sticky tape.  They also recommend that you occasionally open the blades fully and apply a small amount of light oil to the pivot joint (and wipe off any excess).
