Twenty to Knit – Dressed up Bears by Val Pierce
Twenty to Knit – Dressed up bears is a book full of patterns to make delightful, characterful bears with easy-to make outfits, and projects range from a firefighter bear, an astronaut, a judo bear, biker, waitress and policeman! All of the projects are accompanied by a clear, easy-to-follow pattern and fun photography. There’s also a page of basic techniques at the start of the book, including making up, stuffing and some simple surface stitching.
Following on from the success of her previous book, Twenty to Knit: Knitted Bears, this gorgeous little knitting book by popular author Val Pierce contains 20 irresistibly cute bears for knitters of all abilities.
Val’s passion for knitting began when her father taught her to knit at the age of five. Having worked for many major yarn companies and various well-known designers, she decided it was time to branch out and begin making her own designs, and they now appear regularly in national knitting and crochet magazines. She also teaches knitting, as well as a range of other needlecrafts, to both adults and children. Val lives and works in Shropshire, UK.
The patterns include:-
Making a basic bear
Marathon Runner Bear
American Footballer Bear
Cabin Steward Bear
The characters vary in size but are mostly around 20cm tall.
