Rabbit Key Ring Sewing Pattern – Sewing Sanctuary

Create a pair of sweet rabbit key rings from this Sewing Sanctuary pattern.  Created by the talented Sarah Patterson, you can sew a little and a large rabbit, each with their very own dress.  The pattern is accompanied by step by step instructions, complete with photos.

Each rabbit uses only a small amount of fabric and is a great way to use up little scraps of pretty fabric.

To make the bigger rabbit, you will need:

  • Body: 1/4m cream fabric (pre-shrunk calico, Moda or Tilda Doll Fabric works well)
  • Dress:  1/16m Cotton fabric
  • Scarf: small length of lace fabric
  • Decoration:  1 button or charm
  • Key ring:  1 key ring
  • Toy Stuffing:  Small amout (125g will be more than plenty)
  • Ribbon for attaching keyring:  7cm (2.5″) in length (3mm to 5mm in width) 8cm (3″)
  • Eyes:  black thread or 6mm safety eyes
  • Nose:  black thread

To make the small rabbit, you will need:

  • Body: 1/8m cream fabric (pre-shrunk calico, Moda or Tilda Doll Fabric works well)
  • Dress:  1/16m Cotton fabric
  • Scarf: small length of lace fabric
  • Decoration:  1 button or charm
  • Key ring:  1 key ring
  • Toy Stuffing:  Small amout (125g will be more than plenty)
  • Ribbon for attaching keyring:  7cm (2.5″) in length (3mm to 5mm in width) 8cm (3″)
  • Eyes:  black thread or 5mm safety eyes
  • Nose:  black thread
