Charlie the Dog Sewing Kit – Miadolla
Charlie the Dog is a gorgeous sewing kit from the fabulous, Russian Miadolla range and contains everything you need to make a cute, jointed dog teddy who stands approximately 23cm (9″) tall. Charlie is made from plush fabric, stuffed with traditional wood wool (and a little steel weighting) and has moveable arms, legs and head.
Miadolla say “With his left eye squinty, Charlie makes a round of his forest estates and checks – maybe somebody has caused mischief at night or needs help? Charlie has been a forester for many years now, he is also engaged in landscape design and forest improvement. He loves his work more than anything else, as the best reward for Charlie is to see results of his work.”.
The kit contains a pattern, all materials and comprehensive instructions to guide you through the processes to make your dog. The kit also includes the patterns, instructions and materials to make his clothes, shoes and hat too.
You can sew Charlie completely by hand (back stitch is the main stitch used) or on a sewing machine (there will be a little hand sewing needed). The kit is also supported by some great ‘How to do it’ videos on our website if you prefer more visual ways of learning.
Your kit includes all of the materials you need:-.
- sewing pattern
- detailed instruction with pictures
- plush fabric
- linen & cotton fabric
- felt fabric
- faux leather
- cotter pin joints
- sewing threads
- stranded cotton threads
- beads (for the eyes)

Equipment you will need to make your dog:
- A pair of paper scissors
- A pair of embroidery scissors
- Round nosed pliers
- Glue (for the shoes)
- Tailor’s chalk or an air erasable pen (to mark around your pattern pieces)
To complete this project, the maker will need to be able:

*Because this kit contains bead eyes and steel weighting, it is not suitable as a toy.
